In our efforts to honor our precious Landon, his foundation will strive to carry out his legacy by focusing on two aspects that were at his core. First, his love of his family and second, his ability to flash that radiant, contagious smile in the mist of everything that he was facing.

The Landon Vargas Foundation has officially been registered and recognized as a federal entity. We are designated as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Our tax id number is 83-2964725.

Moving forward we will be committed to carrying on Landon’s legacy by bringing smiles to childhood cancer patients and their families. The purpose of which will be to strengthen family bonds, make joyful memories, and spread endless smiles. We will also continue to support child life teams at hospitals, fund childhood cancer research and provide scholarships.

This past March of 2025, John Trainor and Mike Moser just wrapped up year five running 4 miles, every 4 hours for 48 hours . They continue to AMAZE and INSPIRE us with their perseverence, grit, determination, and fight to put pediatric cancer awareness and the Landon Vargas Foundation at the forefront.  

Over the last five years, John and Mike have raised over $100,000 for the foundation.  They have inspired networks of people to come together, they have boosted connections among communities all in support of our cause.  To help us honor our Landon through our foundation.   With this money that has been raised by so many of our donors and Mike and John’s efforts we have been able to grow in every program we offer.  They have helped us expand our Smile Bag and Caregiver Programs, our Child Life and Ronald McDonald House Initiatives, and our new and much needed Gaming Therapy Programs. 

Huge Amounts of gratitude go out to John and Mike, today and always.  They have shown us that the extraordinary is attainable through the accumulation of ordinary acts.  Together we all have joined forces to be able to bring some positive experiences for children and families battling cancer, one smile at a time. 

We at the Landon Vargas Foundation aim to provide smiles (smiles are proven to boost moods and bring a mindset of positivity), we also aim to foster connections between the people we love and care about most and we strive to bring awareness to childhood cancer.
